Beyond the Walls Outreach Ministry
The Outreach ministry of Spirit of Liberty is a vehicle in which we seek to join with God in this endeavor, both locally and globally. We believe that all people deserve the opportunity to see and hear the good news of Jesus Christ. And we believe that the church is called to this great and awesome task. We are committed to finding ways for everyone in our church family to connect with people in need of the Gospel and letting them know that there is hope in Jesus Christ. We fulfill this great commission in our local community by rendering service to those who are less fortunate, homeless, down trodden and those without hope. Feeding men, women, and children at the homeless shelters. Evangelizing in local neighborhoods. Extending assistance to those who experience tragic loss locally and globally.
God has always been in pursuit of mankind since the earliest days of human history. From the moment sin entered our world, separating mankind from God, a plan was engaged that God conceived from eternity past. That plan would reconcile lost and sinful people back to God through the death and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ.
Children’s Church
Spirit of Liberty Worship Center is committed to love, lead, serve and disciple the next generation. Your child will find both God and friends in our Children’s Church. Parents can enjoy our worship service while they leave their children with us. Our Children’s Church is an excellent, fun and safe environment for children to learn about the Bible in a fun, engaging and exciting way. Our Children’s Church Staff ignites children’s imaginations to the ongoing story of God that starts in the pages of Scripture and continues in our lives today.
Your children will laugh, learn, love, play, grow, develop friendships and discover God’s great love for them.
Our Children’s Church Staff is energetic, and make learning about the Bible fun! Our staff is experienced with teaching toddlers through age 12. Our goal is to be the spark that ignites a deeper sense of identity, belonging, love and mission in every child we teach and serve.
We the church, also have a responsibility toward children; we are to creatively minister to their spiritual needs through the word of God. If we want our children to grow up with a solid Christian foundation, it is essential that we invest time in them while they are young.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6.
Culinary Ministry
As Spirit of Liberty Worship Center builds on the foundation of Jesus Christ, the Culinary Ministry, through prayer, praise and faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, strives to glorify God by providing excellence in food service. We aspire for the love of Jesus Christ to be exemplified in our ministering through food service. Our ministry is committed to practice the high quality standards required for health and safety, relative to the preparation and serving of food and beverages. The Culinary Ministry Coordinates menus and meals for special fellowship dinners, various church-wide functions, hosted special events and more. The culinary ministry oversees the operation of the kitchen, including its use, cleanliness, and maintenance of the church kitchen and its equipment.
Our immediate goal is to welcome, feed, care for and give comfort to Members and our Guests. Our continuous goal is at to make fellowship at Spirit of Liberty a combination of Worship and Praise to God our Father as well as a fun and nourishing culinary experience.
The Culinary Ministry of Spirit of Liberty Church is a body of believers who have a passion for food and cooking. The art of cooking is their specialty; this ministry serves all events with passion with a spirit of excellence.
Family Focus Ministry
Our Family Focus Ministry is committed to the development and promotion of activities for the whole family. Our Family ministry focuses on strengthening and developing strong relationships through mutual support and spiritual guidance in a godly atmosphere. Bi- monthly our Family Focus Ministries sponsors various activities designed to engage the entire family.

Fit 4 Christ – Monday Night Bootcamp
A weekly collection of exercise activities lead by our licensed fitness coach Mike Thompson of Team Body Right. There are no fees.
Using a holistic approach our goal is to challenge and assist people in achieving better health through fitness, meal planning and preparation, education, and spiritual support, and resources
Mike Thompson’s Bio
My entire life I have been very interested in how people become bigger, faster, stronger, and at the same time have those super hero abs. So naturally being a top athlete was definitely my number one goal. I played lacrosse and football in high school. In college I only focused on football. During my off season workouts and football camps I gained a love for pushing myself and others to be their very best at taking their performance to the next level. I became a public health major to gain a foundation of learning. Also having a summer job at Bally Total Fitness is where I truly fell in love with the idea of being a personal trainer. I then gained my personal training certification through NASM which is one of top certifications in the U.S. Since then it has been my mission to help anyone who is looking to change to a healthier lifestyle and reach personal fitness goal achieve them.

Freedom Warriors Prayer Team
Jesus Christ and Prayer are foundations of Spirit of Liberty Worship Center. Prayer is how we communication and build our relationship with Jesus Christ. The Prayer Ministry exists to save, equip and send Prayer Warriors to present the praises and petitions of our church, the community and the world before the Lord. Our Prayer Team is a group of members who are devoted to prayer and interceding on others behalf. We invite you to pray with us and to receive prayer.
The Prayer Ministry exists to save, equip and send Prayer Warriors to present the praises and petitions of our church, community and the people of God before the Lord. We are praying for the releasing of God’s power, the renewal and revival of God in the body of Christ. We seek to transform lives and strengthen faith through our Prayer Ministry. Canaan seeks to encourage our believers to deepen their connection with Christ through prayer.
Hospitality/Greeters
The Hospitality Ministry administers our Christian love and shows our commitment to Christ Jesus throughout the Body of Christ by serving in a cordial and cheerful manner. The people on this team help those new to Spirit of Liberty, as well as regular attenders feel welcomed and valued; greeting people as they enter the church building with a friendly smile, a warm handshake and/or a hug.
I Still Do – Marriage
We celebrate marriage! We believe Marriage is a sacred covenant made between one man and one woman, before God. This covenant was created by God in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:20-25), and confirmed by Jesus Christ (Matthew 19:3-6; Mark 10:3-9). Solid marriages are foundational to the health and strength of our churches and our communities. This sacred covenant as instituted by God is both promoted and celebrated at Spirit of Liberty. I Still Do Marriage Ministry is designed for all ages and all stages of married life, offering challenges for healthy marriages and help for the hurting.
Our goal is to strengthen and encourage couples and to build stronger marriages. We do this by teaching the importance of a balanced marriage through the Word of God by bringing awareness to married couples concerning their covenant to God and each other. We prepare couples for the rigors and challenges of a lifelong commitment to a Christ-centered marriage. We seek to strengthen, encourage, and support existing marriages to reflect God’s intention for marriage though all life stages, and to help restore marriages that are struggling and broken.
This ministry is for all Married Couples from Newly Weds to couples married decades of years interested in building a God-centric foundation for marriage.
Media/Sound Operators
This Ministry seeks to enhance the praise and worship experience and communicate the fruit of the Word to the Body of Christ through audio/visual media. Media/Sound ministry monitors audio for quality sound output for the Praise Team, Musicians, Preachers, and Special Guests.
We also record audio of Sunday sermons, display song lyrics, sermon notes, and announcements on church projectors. We duplicate CD for sales. We know that faith comes from hearing and believe that spoken word and song are two of the most important tools for a church service. The goal of the church media/sound team is to provide audio that is worthy of the worship of Jesus Christ.
Men’s Ministry
Our Men’s Ministry provides encouragement and opportunities for men to grow into a life of faithful discipleship through fellowship, prayer, study and service. The Men’s Ministry of Spirit of Liberty Worship Center exists to develop Biblically-grounded men of faith who:
- Lead their families in worship
- Explore the Word of God in study
- Reach out to men in the community with the Gospel
- Help hold other men accountable to God’s standards

The men at Spirit of Liberty Church will consistently honor the Lord Jesus Christ in all areas of their lives. We encourage all men to become an active solution to the various issues within our communities.
The Men’s Ministry of Spirit of Liberty Church exists to provide an environment in which men can grow spiritually to be Christ-like leaders at home…at church…and in the community:
- Nurturing Men into a loving relationship with God’s son, Jesus Christ. That is to say, we will disciple and instruct through our words and actions.
- Equipping Men to use their God-given spiritual gifts.
- Serving Men by building strong relationships.
Praise Team/Music Ministry
Spirit of Liberty music ministry is a body unified in spirit and pure heart to glorify God, to humbly serve Him in a spirit of excellence as worship leaders. We believe our purpose as worshippers is to lead others into His divine presence through praise and worship and a grateful heart. Our heart’s desire is to inspire, train and direct those whom God has called into the music ministry with a spirit of service, excellence, sensitivity, purity, humility, and strength.
SOLDier’s Summer Camp
A safe Christian environment for children ages 5 – 13, during the summer months, that is filled with exciting activities, interesting field trips and will focus on academic achievement and personal growth. Our goal is to nurture, protect, inspire and challenge all children to reach their full potential. Developing Children Through Discipline, Education, Leadership, and Fellowship.
Transportation Ministry
The Transportation Ministry’s purpose is to reach others with the gospel by providing transportation so they can attend Worship Service on a regular basis. We provide safe and consistent transportation to the people of God. This ministry grants us various opportunities for many lives to be mentored and cared for by our staff. Our transportation ministry is a valuable outreach of our church, designed to reach and cater to the entire family. The staff provides a warm, friendly and clean environment on the vans.
This ministry serves with a smile, a prayer and a promise to obey God’s command to be disciples.

Women 2 Woman (W2W) Women’s Ministry
As we worship and serve the Lord together, every woman feels loved and accepted for who she is in Christ so that she is transformed and empowered to live out Christ’s love and grace.
We empower our ladies through Biblical and Spiritual Empowerment, Social Events and Awareness, as well as Business/Professional Development. Our ministry help RESTORE women, as they become REFRESHED, and RENEW their mind in Christ.
We want to meet ladies right where they are by encouraging, supporting, praying and equipping them in their journey with God. As we grow our faith and demonstrate His love and grace through our lives. With deeper, Christ-centered relationships with each other through prayer, fellowships and mentoring. We encourage and equip women to faithfully and fully use their God-given gifts to glorify God.
Our goal is to ignite the passion for all women to serve in the Kingdom. Our goal is to continually edify and empower the women of our ministry to be able to live life to the fullest by being GREAT GODLY Women GROWING in GRACE. The Women’s Ministry at Spirit of Liberty Worship Center is for all women – age does not matter, nor does background or life stage.
Youth Ministry
Our Youth Ministry is a young, innovative, and energetic group of teens whose main objective and focus is to become disciples of Christ. Youth Ministry Workers must have passion and patience. Our fun, faithful and experienced adults team with us to teach our youth on their faith journey.
We respond to the spiritual needs of teens by building trusting relationships. We walk with our teens from childhood to your adulthood and recognize their gifts and their desire to make a difference in the world. The Youth Ministry is comprised of teenagers between the ages of 13-18 (Grades 7-12). This ministry meets every week on Wednesday Nights for Youth Bible Study as well as other ministry trips, activities, and projects.
Our goal is to empower youth to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
